Moonshine

The drama takes place during the Joseon era, when the most stringent alcohol bans were in force. Nam Young ( Yoo Seung Ho ) is a General Inspection Officer who enforces the alcohol ban law. He came to Hanyang (the old name of Seoul) to find successs and restore the status of his once illustrious family. Smart, determined and ambitious, he works hard without the support of a strong clan. Kang Ro Seo ( Hyeri ) is the daughter of a poor noble family. To pay off family debts and support her older brother, she decides to brew alcohol bypassing the law. Lee Pyo ( Byeong Woo Suk ) is the crown prince who has a habit of sneaking over the walls of the palace to enjoy the forbidden drink. This trio has a fateful encounter leading them to discover a hidden stash of alcohol.
